New album for Paris?

Yea, I’m not joking. Paris Hilton has finished another album. Why in the hell she made another I don’t know, but it’s happened. The album isn’t yet titled, and thankfully has no release date as of yet. There is a big reason for that, she has no label to put the album out. There’s good reason for it.
Her debut album, Paris, was an absolute dud. Overall, the album sold only 160,000 in the United States. That album initially came out on her own label, Heiress, which at the time was affiliated with Warner Bros. Since then the deal Paris had with Warner has fell through, meaning her label has no home. Which is of no surprise. Her “hit” (which i do use the term real loosely) song “Stars are Blind” was being on radio waves, but an utter disaster. Back in my DJ’n days I think I only played this song three times and it was only for personal gain (i.e. paid to do so, free drinks and well we just want talk about the third). The song was just plain boring, and Paris was actually pretty painful on the ears.
So what to expect from this new album? A completely different sound which I have to say is a good call on her part. Her last album was more hiphop based, but this time she plan on making it dance related. “I wrote all the songs,” she said. “It’s very dance, like Kylie Minogue.” The new single “My BFF” recently played made its debut on Ryan Seacrest’s show on KIIS FM back in October. Honestly, I’m not sure how the song was received and I still haven’t heard it yet.
So how is the search going for a new label? It hasn’t been. She’s struggling to find one, so for those of us who enjoy our hearing that is a good thing.
“I’m figuring it out right now,” she said. “I’m not sure which label I’m doing it with.”
