McCain and the BLEEPING Campaign

Senator John McCain payed the “Late Show” and its host David Letterman a visit Thursday. While McCain was in a joking mood from the start, he made it be known, “I don’t want to talk about the bleeping campaign. Understand? If you think I’m going to go back to that bleeping situation, then bleep you.” Granted if you didn’t see the show and take it in context you would think McCain was pretty bitter about losing. Actually, if I was him I think i would be pretty upset still and not wanting to talk about it. But that definitely was not the case.
Throughout the entire interview McCain seemed at home and very playful with Letterman the whole time. At the start of the segment Dave even commented how he looked thinner and better, and its actually very true. McCain once again looks like the happy guy a lot of people were initially very fond of. Not the old, bitter guy who couldn’t stop himself or team from throwing insults at President Elect Barack Obama. This appearance was actually very different from his last one as well.
Remember way back when the Late Show was a source of controversy for this campaign. Dave and John had usually been pretty friendly to each other till McCain stood him up for a taping. Even when he repaid Dave by showing up at a later date, you could tell there was tension between the two. This time they seemed like the best of friends.
I’ll say again it was good to see McCain being McCain again. Funny guy, happy and even giving Obama credit for the staff selections he has made. If you didn’t get a chance to see Letterman last night, here’s a video clip from the show.
