Kanye the Fashion Designer???

We’ve all seen Kanye West, whether its on tour, music video, television interviews, or even just a magazine. He’s got a unique sense a fashion, and I must stress the unique. Supposedly, his dream has actually been to be a fashion designer not his current trade of music. That’s pretty cool, you’ve got your money, you made it big, sure go try to achieve your dreams now. I’m glad he’s going to take a stab at it. What’s more impressive, he’s willing to go about it the hard way and earn it!

Kanye is planning on moving to London this spring to look for a job in the fashion industry. Yes, I said look for a job, he’s even willing to INTERN! Kanye said: “I’m going to go and take an internship and just do something that’s like completely normal, and just rap at the weekends or something.”

He’s not looking for any job either, he’s trying to take that role with one of the big dogs at there. He’s applying to places like Louis Vitton, Raf Simmons and whomever else there is out there. I’ll be honest I don’t give a flying fuck about fashion so I’m not sure who there is. I’m guessing he won’t have to take a normal intern, with his celebrity status one of those companies will easily take him on, even if just for the press alone.

The experience should do Kanye well as he has his own fashion range coming out called Pastelle. He’s already spent time out in the U.K. looking for a face for the new outfit. He may of found a Brit, named Mr Hudson to do so and the two are working on a lucrative deal. So is all of this really just a publicity stunt to get his fashion line noticed? I don’t think so.

If Kanye is actually planning on doing the designing he needs some work, and experience. We’ve all seen his eccentric style. His outfits are always flashy and eye catching, but personally I don’t think in a positive way. Most of the time he looks a hot mess, so the work with these guys out in London may do him some good. But then again he’s going to work with the big dogs who do nothing but put out over the top stuff. So we’ll have to see if this actually benefits him.
