New Soulja Boy Video

So Soulja Boy’s new album, iSouljaBoyTellem, hit stores today. I mean really, I’ve never thought this guy had much talent but yet he became a social icon almost in the past year and a half because of a stupid dance. “Crank That” was a club hit, a dance hit, a must play at sporting contests it was something everyone wanted to hear, but really was it that good? Not even close. It’s just a song with a little catchy hook and a very catchy dance. Regardless, that song has made him a star in the eyes of many teens and he’s taking advantage.

I don’t know much about his first single “Bird Walk” at all. I’ve actually never heard it but I do know that it hasn’t caught on like some of his other songs. The highest it reached on the charts was #54, not bad for a subpar rapper if you compare it to the rest of the music industry BUT that’s not the case. He hit #54 Billboard HOT R&B/HipHop Songs, so you have to consider that track a disappointment. Even worse the song only reached #25 on the Rap Charts.

His new single is out now “Kiss Me Thru The Phone” featuring Sammie. This one is definitely designed for the ladies. So he’s obviously trying to get the crowd that made him popular. Here’s the video.
